Why Pay Angie's List For Mold Remediation Recommendations in Mobile, AL?

Why Pay Angie's List For Mold Remediation Recommendations in Mobile, AL?

We have all seen it, black spots and fuzz on a wall. How dangerous is it? Should I call a professional? What do I do? Is my health at stake?

There are so many articles on the internet. Who do I trust? How can I make sure? How do I avoid calling an out-of-town company that might leave me in worse condition than I started? Should I trust homeowner recommendations on Angie’s List? Are these really local providers, or are they out-of-town companies that merely have a local telephone number & office suite? How will I know? Does Angie's list tell me this? Beware: http://www.forbes.com/sites/maggiemcgrath/2013/09/18/why-consumer-reports-says-you-cant-trust-angies-list/. Here is another take: http://www.cbsnews.com/news/why-angies-list-is-getting-a-rash-of-bad-reviews/ .

We believe the recommendations on Angie’s List can be tampered with. We believe that  a company can affect their own rankings by loading friends and colleagues to do reviews. We also know that even IF the list contains satisfied customers, (particularly in Mold Remediation), we wonder as to the consumer's ability to know if services were performed properly. (We know any consumer would know if they were given bad service, but will these reviews lead you to the BEST providers?) We wonder if the customer would know if there wasn't any need for mold remediation in the first place! Would the consumer even have known? When we called this company (Angie's List) to inquire as to how we might be on their list, they told us that we should send to them a list of our client’s names and addresses and that they would verify our services with them! Ridiculous! We politely declined. We will never release the names of our clients in order that a third party might market to them, or even JUST to call them to verify services. Ever! Even if Angie's is simply inquiring as to services, we believe that releasing our client’s names is compromising their privacy. This is particularly true in the mold remediation arena. People might not want to advertise that their home or business was affected by mold. Note to Angie's list: If this is not specifically your policy (as was told to us) as to how a company might get on your list, if they are not already, please email us directly and will will gladly print your explanation.

When a business or homeowner has a water damage event, they should seek advice from a trained professional such as ServiceMaster Advanced. If water damage and wet structure is not properly mitigated, unhealthy microbiological growth (mold) can likely begin, leading to an unhealthy living or working environment. Mold spores can spread to clothing, bedding, other structure, furniture and in even enter the the HVAC duct work. The phrase: “Don’t wait to mitigate” is very appropriate in water damage situations, as the sooner the drying process can begin, the less likely it is that permanent damage will occur. Often customers will find that without proper insurance coverage, or even with a high deductible, the rates for mold cleanup are often very reasonable.  ServiceMaster Advanced has helped thousands of people over the years. Due to their sheer size and economies to scale, their water damage and mold remediation cleanup rates are among the most competitive in the industry.
